The clock of time runs at  a different
speed in each of us.
For some of us it is fast and hectic
For some it is slow and laid back
Some savor each moment as special and unique
Others rush ahead and never enjoy today
Some hide in a fog of alcohol or drugs
Some hide behind a false sophistication
Too few remember to laugh and smile
With that special smile from deep within
Many hide behind religion
As man has created it
Yet never look at GOD'S blessings
or feel his presence
The Creator is in each of us...
He gave us eyes to see beauty,
Sadly blinded by hate!
He gave us arms to embrace the world
and each other
He gave us the freedom to choose
And the ability to think and reason
He gave us the ability to enjoy our bodies
And be sure to carry on mankind
Yet he also gave us the feelings to enjoy our bodies
How far man has gone to twist these gifts around
Many have used them as chains to bind us
Only those who have touched His presence
within ourselves
Know the true miracle of our existence
We were never meant to be Godlike
We were meant to know the God with each of us
To love and share the bonding of hearts together
Not lives of only existing, but the touching of souls
And then we experience the gift of life
As it was meant to be.
